We offer TWO types of tours: The Sports Museum Tour & TD Garden Arena Tour

The Sports Museum Tour

The Sports Museum consists of a half-mile of exhibits at the TD Garden, the home of the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics. The exhibits celebrate the history and the character of Boston sports, including the teams that play in TD Garden and the others that make Boston the envy of the sports world.

During your visit to The Sports Museum, our Museum Assistants will bring you to Level 9, the top floor of TD Garden, where you will be eye level with the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics championship banners. You will also be guided through The Sports Museum, which is located on the Premium Levels 5 & 6 of TD Garden. Here you will see the treasures that we have on display evidencing the rich heritage of Boston sports and the influence of sports on the social history and evolution of Boston.

** The Sports Museum Tour is not guaranteed daily due to TD Garden events and construction.

Please check website and social media accounts before your visit.

Note: Tours leave on the hour every hour (i.e. 10 a.m., 11 a.m., etc.) from 10AM - 5PM with the last tour at 4PM and lasts for approximately one hour

The TD Garden Arena Tour

Our Museum Assistants will provide you with a behind-the-scenes tour of TD Garden that involves special glimpses of the arena floor, the visiting team locker rooms, and other parts of the arena normally not available for public viewing. Also, you will be brought into the marshalling area next to the arena floor to give you a sense on how a working arena operates, switching from ice to parquet to concerts.

From now until August 11, 2018 we will be providing TD Garden Arena Tours.  Please note that these tours are NOT guaranteed daily due to The Sports Museum's limited access to the arena floor, marshalling area, and locker room areas during TD Garden events and construction.  ALWAYS check our website (www.sportsmuseum.org) prior to visiting The Sports Museum for the most up-to-date schedule.

Note: Tours leave on the hour every half hour (i.e. 10:30AM, 11:30AM, etc.) from 10AM - 5PM with the last tour leaving at 3:30PM and lasts for approximately one hour

Admission prices are the same for The Sports Museum Tour and TD Garden Arena Tour

WE FOLLOW TD GARDEN SECURITY PROCEDURES. GUESTS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT BAGS, BACKPACKS, LUGGAGE, LAPTOPS, COOLERS, PARCELS, BRIEFCASES AND LIKE ARTICLES WILL BE STRICTLY PROHIBITED FROM THE FACILITY.

Private VIP Tours

Looking for a one-of-a-kind experience unlike any other in Boston?  We are proud to offer Private VIP Tours for your corporate group or family outing of any size!

Our Private VIP Tours offer a customized, private tour with Curator Richard Johnson or Associate Curator Brian Codagnone (based on availability), the two individuals responsible for The Sports Museum’s collection and exhibits. This means your group will travel through Levels 5, 6, and 9 while receiving in-depth stories about our artifacts and exhibits that you cannot hear from anyone else.

If your group is interested in learning more about the history of one team over another, or about TD Garden itself, a Private VIP Tour is the only option that allows your group to do exactly that.

These Private VIP Tours are great to include into your corporate events, social events, and family parties.  We work closely with TD Garden to provide you with all your venue, food & beverage, A/V, and entertainment needs.

Pricing: $25/person

**Weekend Private VIP Tours are limited due to availability. Please try to book Private VIP Tours on weekdays as chances of availability are higher.

**Please book your Private VIP Tour at least two weeks in advance BUT no more than 2 months out. We cannot guarantee to booking a Private VIP Tour in more than 2 months due to TD Gardens scheduling of events.
