The Sports Museum consists of a half-mile of exhibits at the TD Garden, the home of the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics.

During your visit for The Sports Museum Tour, our Museum Assistants will guide you through The Sports Museum, which is located primarily on the Premium Levels 5 & 6 of TD Garden. Here you will see the treasures that we have on display evidencing the rich heritage of Boston sports and the influence of sports on the social history and evolution of Boston. You will also get to experience Boston Bruins Heritage Hall which includes the latest technologies, exhibits, and artifacts that bring to life the remarkable moments of the incredible and storied Boston Bruins franchise.

TD Garden Arena Tours will return Summer 2024.

At the end of The Sports Museum Tour, our Museum Assistants will drop you off at Boston Bruins Heritage Hall, a brand-new exhibit venue providing an immersive experience into the storied, 100-year history of one of the NHL’s flagship franchises.

Each Sports Museum Tour lasts approximately 45-60 minutes followed by entry into Boston Bruins Heritage Hall, which does not involve a guided tour but a self-guided experience.

Yes, we do offer tours of TD Garden during the summer. During your visit for the TD Garden Arena Tour, our Museum Assistants will guide you through Level 3 of TD Garden to give your group a behind-the-scenes look at the arena and also take you up to Level 9 to see the championship banners and the birds-eye view of the arena.

Each TD Garden Arena Tour lasts for approximately one hour and is walk-in only. We look forward to starting these tours again after the Bruins and Celtics 2023-2024 seasons.

Tickets for The Sports Museum Tour can be purchased on The Sports Museum website or at The Sports Museum/Heritage Hall Box Office, which is located across the North Station East Side elevators and next to the TD Garden Box Office. Tours do have a limited capacity, so we recommend that you sign up in advance via our website.

There is a 25-person capacity per tour for our Sports Museum Tours.

EBT Card to Culture Program: We are proud to participate in the Card to Culture program, a collaboration between the Mass Cultural Council and the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector, by broadening accessibility to cultural programming. All adults with a valid EBT card receive admission for $3.00. Those 18 and under with a valid EBT card receive free admission. Offer not valid in advance.

Our Public Tours (which include Sports Museum Tours year-round and TD Garden Arena Tours during the summer) are offered daily every half-hour. These tours typically last 45-60 minutes and can accommodate groups as large as 25 people for The Sports Museum Tour or 50 people for the TD Garden Arena Tour, depending on how many guests sign up on that particular day and time. At the end of each such Public Tour, our Museum Assistants will drop you off at Boston Bruins Heritage Hall, a brand-new exhibit venue providing an immersive experience in the storied, 100-year history of one of the NHL’s flagship franchises.

Our Private VIP Tours are just for you and your group. It typically lasts around an hour to two hours. Private VIP Tours are given by our Curator or Associate Curator (when available) who are single-handedly responsible for our artifacts and exhibits. Additionally, our VIP Tours can be tailored to your interests, and you can customize them to learn more about the history of one sport over another, or about TD Garden itself. At the end of each such Private VIP Tour, our Curators will drop you off at Boston Bruins Heritage Hall, a brand-new exhibit venue providing an immersive experience into the storied, 100-year history of one of the NHL’s flagship franchises.

Yes, there are plenty of restrooms. However, we do request that you use the restroom at the beginning or end of the tour, if possible, in deference to others on your tour. There is also a restroom inside Boston Bruins Heritage Hall which you will enter after your Sports Museum Tour.

Due to the fact that we are located in an active arena, we only offer guided tours of The Sports Museum and TD Garden. All visitors must be with a tour guide at all times. However, at the end of your tour, you will get to experience Boston Bruins Heritage Hall, which does not involve a guided tour but instead a self-guided experience.

Yes, The Sports Museum is fully accessible. However, please notify us of any special accommodations as it will help us make your visit go smoother.

No, there is no bus parking available. Buses may drop off students and return after 90 minutes. For bus parking locations, please visit the City of Boston’s Transportation Department.

Yes, service dogs that are trained to provide services and tasks for persons with disabilities are permitted. Support or companion animals are not permitted.

The East Elevators located in the parking garage will bring you directly to the main concourse in North Station, which will then lead you to The Sports Museum and Boston Bruins Heritage Hall box office where guests will meet for tours.
